How it Works

The 3rd Annual El Segundo Puzzle Hunt kicks off for STEM week on November 8th, 2025! Puzzles will be available at Code Ninjas El Segundo or download and print the puzzles by going to www.solvingfun.com/elsegundo.

With a group of friends or family, solve the puzzles at your own pace. Each puzzle will lead you to a location in El Segundo where you will find a clue. When you get to the location, look for a sign with bold words on it (sample below). These words are clues for the final puzzle. The signs will not be hidden or buried and are on public land within the city of El Segundo. You will not need to damage anything to find them. Write down the clue you need and leave the signs for future solvers. Put together the clues found at each location and figure out the final answer. Submit the final answer for a chance to win a prize!

Some of the puzzle directions may seem unclear. Figuring out how to solve is often part of the puzzle itself. Try different strategies to solve. If you need help, feel free to visit the hints page or reach out to Solving Fun.

Safety Reminders

The Solving Fun Puzzle Pals and the City of El Segundo want all of our community members to be safe and have fun. Be mindful of all laws and safety regulations as you explore our city. Clues are posted in visible areas and on public property. If you experience an emergency, call 911.

Prizes

When you've completed the puzzles and figured out the final answer, you can submit them for a drawing for prizes. In order to submit your entry, fill out the form here on or before November 16th, 2025. It is free to enter. One entry per person. All winners will be notified after November 17, 2025.

Photo Bonus Prize

We'd love to see solvers working together to solve puzzles and find clues! Double your chance to win! Submit photos of yourself during the hunt to get an extra entry into the prize drawings. You can submit your photos by emailing community@solvingfun.com or attaching them to your final answer entry form. Happy solving!
