1 Word

Object: Get other players to guess pedestrian and bicycle safety words using one word clues.

How to Play: Pick someone to guess and someone to select a word. Word selector tells everyone except the guesser what the word is. Everyone writes down a one word clue for that word. The word selector looks at all the slips of paper and removes any that match.

Then, they give the remaining clues to the guesser. The guesser studies the clues and gets one guess for the word. Play continues rotating who the guesser and word selector are.

1, 2, 3

How to Play: Two players think of a word related to pedestrian or bicycle safety without speaking it. When ready, both players count, “1,2,3”. After “3,” players say their word at the same time. If the word matches, they win. If it doesn’t match, they go again, thinking of a new word that is somewhere in the middle of the two words. Repeat until there’s a match.

It Takes 2

How to Play: Player 1 picks two letters. All players think of either a two word phrase, place, or name (PPN) of something related to traffic safety that has those letters as initials. Then, each player says a one-word clue for their PPN. All players write down what they think the other players’ PPN is. The goal is to get as many players as possible to guess yours (but not everyone), and also figure out what other players’ PPN is. Get one point for every player that guessed correctly unless everyone did, then only get one point total. And, get one point for every PPN that you guess correctly.

Object: Get others to guess two word phrases related to bicycle and pedestrian safety.

Fishbowl

Object: When walking outside, riding around, and while playing games. Pay attention to others around you. Give clues and guess pedestrian and bicycle safety words.

How to Play: Each player thinks of a category and writes down 8 things in that category on individual slips of paper. Fold each paper in half and mix them up in a bowl. Divide into 2 teams. One player gives clues to their teammates at a time. Go through as many as you can in 45 seconds. If a word is not guessed, return it to the bowl.

Then the next team selects a player to give clues. Play until the bowl is empty. Add up each team’s total of correctly guessed things. Highest score, wins.

Bee

How to Play: Player 1 says a letter that starts a word related to walking or biking to school. Next player adds a letter. Player after that can either add an additional letter or challenge the previous player. If this player challenges the word, the previous player can either say a word they were thinking of that uses all the letters in order (and get a point), or if they can’t, the challenge succeeds and the challenger gets a point. If a player thinks the previous player completed a word, they

can claim that for a point. Start a new word when a challenge is successful or a word is created. Play to 5 points.
